After over a year of hard work, we are ready to begin accepting public applications for SproutBox. We’ve done a lot this year, including building a solid network of investors, hiring a talented team, renovating 8,000+ square ft. of space, and developing 2 products (DecideAlready and CheddarGetter). That was just the beginning.
We’d like to thank Brian Solis, Kristin Lindstrom and Brian Blank from Future Works for all their work putting our launch PR campaign together. We’ll keep this post updated with a few links to some of the coverage we’ve received.

On May 29th, we’ll be opening the doors of “The Box” to the public for the first time. We are having a party to show off our recently renovated 8,000+ sqft facility located on the B-Line walking trail in downtown Bloomington, IN.
At the heart of The Box is the collaboration room. There you’ll find skylights, rolling desks, and floor-to-25ft ceiling graffiti art. If you need some quiet time, you can always hop into one of our 12 private offices, a conference room, or our recliner-filled screening room.
We’ll be serving some of Bloomington’s best local food and drinks starting at 6 pm on May the 29th. Remarks begin at 7:30 pm. The Box is located in the old Johnson Creamery building at 400 W. 7th, Suite 200. Let us know if you’d like to join us and we’ll be sure to get you an invite!

Ignite Bloomington was another great example of Bloomington’s tech scene coming together. It was a blast, and SproutBox was proud to be a sponsor. Brad and I also had fun participating as presenters. If you missed it, you can check out our presentations on the YouTubes. Thanks to Jay Steele for recording these. I grabbed mine and turned it into a Slidecast as well.
I talked a little bit about starting startups in the downturn.

Brad deconstructed graffiti, including a sneak peak at artwork in The Box:
You can also get another angle of Mike’s and Brad’s presentations from Kevin Makice’s vantage point.
