We are pleased to be hosting Verge Bloomington’s December event this Thursday right here at The Box. If you have attended a Verge Bloomington (or even if you haven’t and have no idea what you’re in for), you won’t want to miss this one.
What better way to end finals week and ring in the holiday season than to sit back and relax while hearing about two great local startups and mingling with the best of the Bloomington tech scene? The first startup to pitch at this event is Tourist App. Tourist App won the most recent Startup Weekend Bloomington. They plan to bring the best tours across the globe straight to your phone. The other talented startup pitching is Net Irrigate. They will be pitching their agricultural monitoring products and systems that are used all over the country. They are currently focused on taking their software and monitoring systems mobile. We hear they are looking to hire some developers as well!
Our very own, Brad Wisler, will be lighting up the fireside chat with Verge’s emcee, Jeff Wuslich, to give advice for all of the startups and entrepreneurs in the crowd. He’ll be sharing what you need to do in preparation for raising funding or for applying to accelerator programs. Brad will also give the inside scoop on our most recent partnership with Cornerstone Information Systems in the creation of RunUp Labs.
If you or someone you know has an idea or product that will change the way we travel, please make sure you have them join us for Verge. We’re excited to show off our space to anyone who may not have had the chance to check it out.
Hope to see you there! In case you can’t make it, follow the twitter feed with the #vergebtown and ask questions! Don’t forget to follow the startups who will be pitching: Tourist App and Net Irrigate.
